Song Lyrics
Thy Vision, Our Sight
God of all questions, of all things unknown, How long until You return for Your own? Now we see darkly, and only in part, Great is our yearning to fathom Your heart.
All men have fallen, and all have transgressed; None have succeeded in passing the test; No hope now lingers, no way to be saved, But for the promise our Father has made.
All who believe in the Son’s sacrifice, Shall be forgiven and washed of their vice. This is His promise, the source of our hope, Fuel for our journey on this treacherous slope.
Now is our story told here in the dark, Fenced in by foes terrifying and stark. Love seems unwise, and grace all but gone, All that seems imminent is the grave’s looming yawn.
After these shadows, and after the night, Then will be only the fullness of light. Filled with God’s goodness, and cleansed from all sin, Then as His children we’ll all enter in.
Light Everlasting
O Light Everlasting
O Love never failing
Illumine our darkness
And draw us to Thee
May we from Thy spirit
Receive inspiration
As children together
Thy wisdom may see
Make known to all nations
Thy peace and salvation
And help us O Father
Thy temple to be.
O Love never failing
Illumine our darkness
And draw us to Thee
May we from Thy spirit
Receive inspiration
As children together
Thy wisdom may see
Make known to all nations
Thy peace and salvation
And help us O Father
Thy temple to be.
The Lord is My Shepherd
The Lord is my shepherd;
therefore can I lack nothing.
He shall feed me in a green pasture,
and lead me forth beside the waters of comfort.
He shall convert my soul,
and bring me forth in the paths of righteousness, for his Name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For thou art with me: Thy rod and thy staff comfort me.
Thou shalt prepare a table before me against them that trouble me:
thou hast anointed my head with oil and my cup shall be full.
But thy loving kindness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
therefore can I lack nothing.
Offertory
With what shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before God on High?
Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
Shall I come before Him with yearling calves?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgressions,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
He has shown you, O man; He has shown you what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
and bow myself before God on High?
Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
Shall I come before Him with yearling calves?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgressions,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
He has shown you, O man; He has shown you what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
Thy Pleasant Pastures
Savior like a Shepherd lead us,
Much we need Thy tender care;
In Thy pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Thy folds prepare.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.
Once the flock has been united,
Once the lost have all been found,
All the wrongs shall then be righted,
and our Shepherd Crowned.
Mighty Savior, mighty Savior,
Thou wilt reign forever more.
Mighty Savior, mighty Savior,
Thou wilt reign above, reign as King.
Reign as loving, lawful King forever.
Much we need Thy tender care;
In Thy pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Thy folds prepare.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.
Once the flock has been united,
Once the lost have all been found,
All the wrongs shall then be righted,
and our Shepherd Crowned.
Mighty Savior, mighty Savior,
Thou wilt reign forever more.
Mighty Savior, mighty Savior,
Thou wilt reign above, reign as King.
Reign as loving, lawful King forever.
His Voice as the Sound
His voice as the sound of the dulcimer sweet,
Is heard through the shadows of death;
The cedars of Lebanon bow at His feet,
The air is perfumed with His breath.
His lips as a fountain of righteousness flow,
That waters the garden of grace,
From which their salvation the Gentiles shall know,
And bask in the smile of His face.
Love sits in His eyelids and scatters delight
Through all the bright regions on high,
Their faces the Cherubim veil in His sight,
And tremble with fullness of joy.
He looks, and ten thousands of angels rejoice,
And myriads wait for His word,
He speaks, and eternity filled with His voice,
Re-echoes the praise of her Lord.
Is heard through the shadows of death;
Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Come, Thou Fount of ev’ry blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above;
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.
Here I raise my Ebenezer,
Hither by Thy help I’m come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wand’ring from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, as a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
